Analyzing Today's Moves


During today's session, we observed what appeared to be a potential double top formation in crude oil.


We aimed to break through key resistance levels, such as 81.60 and then push towards 81.80. However, the market didn't quite cooperate as expected.



Insights from Volume and Price Action


One of the critical tools I rely on is understanding the interplay between volume and price action.


By zooming in on specific candlestick patterns and volume bars, I can gauge market sentiment and potential reversals.


For instance, despite a surge in buying volume, the market failed to sustain its upward momentum, indicating a possible absorption of buying interest.


Recognizing Market Signals


A pivotal moment came when a subsequent candlestick showed minimal follow-through despite significant buying volume.


This divergence often signals a market reversal.


As anticipated, the market retraced back to previous support levels.
